Problem: Identity theft is a growing problem in the United States, with someone getting their identity stolen every 27 seconds.

Insight: Many people don’t understand how to effectively protect their identity. As cyberthreats evolve, consumers need a trustworthy resource to help protect themselves from identity thieves.

Idea: Make identity theft a more personal concept that people can easily understand. Identity theft shouldn’t be an abstract concept when it affects so many people in the United States.

Norton LifeLock Stunt Execution

As part of our campaign to make Norton LifeLock and identity theft a much more personal concept, we would be metaphorically showing people how well our software protects your personal life with this stunt.

In busy areas like sports stadiums and train stations, Norton LifeLock would change the regular bathroom doors in public bathrooms to doors that cover everything from the door to the ceiling (as pictured).

This stunt gives people an easy way to understand what Norton LifeLock actually does, which is protecting people’s privacy and preventing random people from looking at your personal information. Now you’ll never be exposed and lock eyes with a random stranger outside of the stall as you are doing your business in private.

Norton LifeLock Social Media

We created the Norton #LockSquad to give a face to the brand. With our new social media accounts, we aim to provide consumers tips on how to protect themselves from identity theft while also making conversations about identity theft more mainstream.

“With our new LockSquad extension, you’ll always have a “squad” ready to protect your information from hackers and identity thieves. By tracking activity on your social media and bank accounts, the LockSquad is ready to notify you of any suspicious activity that could threaten the safety of your personal information. You’ll never feel unsafe when browsing the internet with the LockSquad to back you up.”
